The first session of our December Important Jewelry auction includes an exquisite selection of fine certified colored gemstones from the most desirable international sources.  A large selection of sapphires, such as the five carat plus cushion cut from Kashmir in Lot 75, as well as two beautiful Burmese stones in Lots 131 and 410, provide exceptional opportunities for the discerning collector.

Also on hand are two Burmese rubies of top color.  Lot 423 is a contemporary ring by Michael Beaudry containing an impressive cushion cut stone of 5.01 carats adorned with additional rubies and colored diamonds.  The more classical Lot 469 is set with a rare unheated Mogok stone possessing the sought after “pigeon blood” hue.  Fine Colombian emeralds, such as the polished beads in Lot 265, have been carefully selected for their combination of size, color and clarity.

Rounding out the gem selection are many extraordinary non-Classical gemstones such as the stunning Burmese red spinel found in Lot 13, or any one of the items in an important suite of tanzanite jewels by Van Cleef and Arpels such as Lot 447.
