The American and European Fine Art auction on Thursday September 29 beginning at 12PM will commence with highlights from European artists such as Henri Lebasque, Georgios Jakobides, Aristide Maillol, Edward Burne-Jones, Marie Francois Firmin-Girard and Peeter Neeffs the Younger. The American session will include important works by artists Louis Ritman, Edward Hopper, William Wendt, Birger Sandzen, Mary Nicholena MacCord, Richard Edward Miller and Conrad Wise Chapman.

The September 30 Modern and Contemporary auction is comprised of 234 lots of painting, sculpture, photography and works on paper. Leading the sale is a Fernand Léger painting titled Deux femmes tenant des fleurs as well as an earlier cubist work from 1914 titled Paysage Village. The sale will offer additional highlights from the 20th century by artists such as Max Beckmann and Jean Metzinger. Contemporary works include Bob Thompson’s Landscape with Blue Nude, 1965, Saul’s Guernica, 1974 by Peter Saul and Ralph Goings Double Ketchup. Other artists represented include Lee Krasner, Alexander Calder, Theodoros Stamos, Amy Sillman, Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, Sally Mann, Gabrielle Muenter, Ernst Barlach, Alejandro Obregon and Burhan Dogancay.

Following the Modern and Contemporary art auction is the Fine Prints auction beginning at 3pm CT. The auction will include 282 prints by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, Henri Matisse, Karel Appel, Thomas Hart Benton, Salvador Dali, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Keith Haring and more.
