Exhibiting the elegant style and extraordinary execution that made Cartier’s work in the early 20th century so legendary, an Art Deco platinum, emerald, diamond, onyx and enamel lapel watch is a true rarity on offer during the Important Jewelry from the Estate of Rita Dee Hassenfeld sale.  Another noteworthy Art Deco timepiece comes in a micro-case style, the bracelet consisting of 84 baguette cut diamonds weighing nearly 13 carats. The Fall Sale 394 features a convertible platinum and diamond sautoir, circa 1920, separates into three bracelets and a central pendant and contains 36 carats of diamonds. A South Sea pearl necklace and a complementary pair of earclips highlight the contemporary sub-group.
