Invitation to Consign | Fine Furniture, Decorative Arts and Silver
Following the success of our 2015 Fine Furniture and Decorative Arts auctions, including two single owner sales of significant collections, we are now accepting consignments for the 2016 winter and spring auctions. The January 26-27 auction promises to be another outstanding sale with a variety of Georg Jensen silver and European furniture already consigned. Through December 23, we will continue to invite consignments of fine furniture and decorative objects from the late 19th century and earlier.
In October, Period Style featured examples of English and Continental furniture, ceramics, tapestries, lighting, clocks, bronze and marble sculpture, with particular emphasis on French and Biedermeier furniture. Soon after, we held Connoisseur and Collector: A Chicago North Shore Residence, a single owner auction that offered a rarefied collection of 18th and 19th century French furniture by notable ébénistes François Linke, Paul Sormani, Alfred-Emmanuel-Louis Beurdeley and other celebrated firms. The sale also included gilt bronze lighting, porcelain and other works of decorative art. For full auction results, click here.
In the coming months, our specialists will be traveling to visit collectors and to offer valuations of your estates and property for our Fine Furniture and Decorative Arts Auctions.
