Art Design Chicago is a celebration of Chicago’s art and design legacy and a recognition of the vital role the city plays as a crossroads for America’s creativity and commerce. The yearlong event is led by the Terra Foundation for American Art as a citywide partnership between cultural organizations who are hosting more than 30 exhibitions and hundreds of public programs.
Leslie Hindman Auctioneers is pleased to host the program “Chicago Collects” this October, followed by the auction event Made in Chicago. As we gear up for panel discussions with some of Chicago’s foremost collectors, follow our sneak peek of property that will be exhibited and offered at auction this October.
This summer, we’ll feature selections from Chicago imagists such as Ed Paschke, Hollis Sigler, Jim Nutt and Karl Wirsum. We’ll discuss a slice of Chicago architecture through the work of William Drummond, Dankmar Adler and Louis Sullivan, and also view the aftermath of the Chicago fire through silver prints and other memorabilia.
Follow our series this summer at lesliehindman.com/artdesignchicago and on our social media pages #chicagocollects. You can also join our Art Design Chicago mailing list to receive updates straight to your inbox and an invite to Made in Chicago, October 19.
