This December marks the inaugural auction event for our Atlanta saleroom, located in the vibrant Buckhead neighborhood. The presented collections include that of Mr. Anthony Greene, who, as an esteemed collector and devotee to the arts, served on the boards of both the High Museum of Art in Atlanta and the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, Wyoming.
Mr. Greene held a special interest in English and French furniture and decorative arts, a love that was first developed during shore leave while serving in the Navy aboard the Franklin Delano Roosevelt aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean. Greene had a further career in financial planning and later became the founder, President and CEO of Investment Management and Research at Raymond James Financial Services, as well as serving many years as Chairman, President and Director of the International Association for Financial Planning.
His collection, among other American and European furniture, decorative arts, rugs, carpets, paintings and prints, can be viewed December 3 through 11 at 668 Miami Circle NE. The auction will be conducted as a timed sale online and open for bidding Monday, December 3 – Tuesday, December 11.
