Adele Bloom, a resident of Palm Beach, Florida and Montreal, Quebec, had a passion for fine porcelain that led her to become a prominent ceramics collector and enthusiast. This collection is comprised of fine English and Chinese export porcelain, fine art and 18th-19th century fine furniture and decorative arts.

Mrs. Bloom’s interest in 18th century English manufactories prevails in her collection, which also includes Chinese export wares and European porcelain complemented with paintings by Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita, Moïse Kisling and other artists.

Highlights include:

A Chinese export porcelain five-piece garniture

Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita, Bouquet of Flowers, 1960

Moïse Kisling, Bouquet de bleuets, 1947

An extensive Chamberlains worcester porcelain dinner service

A Derby porcelain table service

Mrs. Bloom made numerous philanthropic contributions to the arts. For many years she was a devoted volunteer guide at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, where in 1950 she saw a ceramics exhibition that inspired her to become a collector and connoisseur of porcelain.
