On Valentine’s Day, the West Palm Beach saleroom of Leslie Hindman Auctioneers will auction a cherished collection from the Estate of Adele Bloom, a passionate and distinguished collector. The collection is comprised of fine English and Chinese export porcelain, fine art and 18th-19th century fine furniture and decorative arts, including earlier 18th century porcelain from English factories.

Mrs. Bloom was a resident of Montreal, Canada and Palm Beach, Florida and was a patron of the arts. For many years she was a devoted volunteer guide at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. She made numerous philanthropic contributions and donations to the arts. Perhaps the most significant was the gift of a red anchor period Chelsea rabbit tureen to the Gardiner Museum in Toronto, the national ceramics museum of Canada.

Mrs. Bloom’s interest in English and Chinese export ceramics prevails in this collection, which also encompasses an array of fine and decorative arts, including paintings by Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita and Moïse Kisling who both worked in Paris, France during the early to mid 20th century.
