Leslie Hindman Auctioneers is pleased to announce the sale of the extensive Jazz record library of beloved Chicago radio-host, Dick Buckley, on Thursday, February 17, 2011. Buckley passed away on July 22, 2010, after over 50 years on-air in Chicago, 31 of which were spent as the host of a highly popular weekend show on Chicago Public Radio (WBEZ), which last aired July 27, 2008. The sale will consist of over 8,000 Jazz LPs, 45s, 78s, EPs, mix tapes and CDs, including many home-made compilations, comprising Buckley's personal archive

The Gary Pepper Auction of Elvis Presley Memorabilia brought nearly three times the original estimate, with highlights including two shirts owned by the King selling for $96,800, an inscribed Elvis Presley picture sleeve selling for $10, 370, a pair of sweat stained concert worn scarves sold for $2,318, and an album of original Elvis Presley Polaroids selling for $7,930. A lock of Elvis's hair, expected to sell for much more than its estimate, was a relative bargain at $18,300. The collection of Gary Pepper, a cerebral palsy victim who Elvis befriended early in his career and who became the King's first fan club president, was said by enthusiasts to be one of the most important collections ever to emerge since Elvis’s death.
Fond Memory Farm, a breathtaking country estate located in Bull Valley, Illinois, sold for $750,000 at our real estate auction held on October 29, 2009. The property consists of more than 22 rolling and wooded acres, a gorgeous one acre pond, as well as a 6-bedroom home, a 3-bedroom guest house, a beautiful barn converted into an entertainment complex and several other buildings.
