Heiji spent the morning in our Couture department working with specialist Anne Forman to explore the couture collections of three New York notables; Elaine Sargent, Wendy Vanderbilt Lehman and Ingrid Yonke. The collections will be sold February 16 in the New York Style auction beginning at 10am CT.
Here are some of Heiji’s favorite items from New York Style and why she loves them. View the online catalogue here.
Just looking at this Givenchy dress makes me want to go out to the club and dance. It’s a fabulous party dress."
This Chanel jacket exemplifies the best of the house - classic with an edge. The fringed edges give just the right amount of edge to this classic boucle jacket.
Fendi is all about luxurious furs, and I love the whimsy of the fur accents on this very special coat. The slouchy red silk pockets and the drape is all so, so good.
This velvet blazer speaks back to the time when Tom Ford was the head designer at Yves Saint Laurent. The blue silk velvet, the ruching, and slim fit are all classic Tom Ford signatures that are so flattering.
These blouses instantly take me to Studio 54. Super sexy yet delicate, and the jewel tones are so fun.
This is a stunning Chanel piece with all the details intact. It’s made for summer cocktails on a grand estate.
