Leslie Hindman Auctioneers is honored to conduct a single-owner auction of property from the Estate of Ronald C. Sloter. A longtime resident of Columbus, Ohio, Ronald Sloter ran the family’s concrete supply business and amassed a wonderful collection of American paintings and prints. Throughout the years, Sloter donated anonymously to theater and activist groups and it was his wish to have the proceeds of his estate benefit Columbus College of Art & Design. Shying away from the spotlight, Sloter wanted his parents Wilford and Dorothy Sloter to receive recognition for the gift.
Included in the auction on March 28 are paintings and prints by Theodore Earl Butler, Robert Henri, George Wesley Bellows, Mary Cassatt, Charles Burchfield, Childe Hassam and others as well as a great collection of English, American and Continental furniture and decorative arts.
Located in downtown Columbus, Ohio, Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD) prepares tomorrow’s creative leaders for successful and influential careers. CCAD’s distinctive learning culture blends professionalism and a commitment to quality with a solid education in the fundamentals of arts and the humanities; graduates hold key positions as artists and designers in major companies and institutions here and abroad.
