A/P Staff Accountant | Chicago, IL
Duties include a wide range of accounting work involving accounts payable, bank account and credit card reconciliation, travel & entertainment reconciliation, and reconciling and analyzing employee healthcare costs. Duties will also extend outside of the accounting department to include assistance with auction coordination. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the desire to grow within a fast paced environment. Some weekend and evening work will be required.
Job Duties May Include:
- Processing and paying bills in a timely manner
- Reconciliation of company credit cards
- Reconciliation of employee T&E reports
- Processing Regional Office expenses and timely payment of Regional Office bills
- Review of healthcare bills to ensure accuracy
- Assist with bidder registration during auctions
- Assist the Bid Department with the processing of bids during an auction
- Assisting HR with on-boarding and termination of employees
- Processing 1099s at year end
- Various other projects as needed
- A minimum of 1 year of accounting experience with focus on the Accounts Payable process
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Relationship builder, comfortable interacting with others
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 1+ year of experience

Specialist/Cataloguer - All Departments | Chicago, IL
Seeking to hire experienced specialists in all departments. Specialists are primarily responsible for cataloguing consigned property, researching authenticity and provenance, and reviewing client inquiries to determine sale potential. In addition to cataloguing property, this position also works with a team of specialists and account executives to coordinate auctions throughout the year. This includes developing the layout of the sale, assisting with catalogue production, setting up exhibitions, preparing condition reports, and working the auction and preview.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal and administrative skills, be able to work in a fast paced environment and have a strong attention to detail. A bachelor’s degree in art history or a related field is required along with at least 2 years of experience in the auction or appraisal industry.

Successful candidates will be placed in positions according to their backgrounds and interests and will gain first-hand experience in auction house operations.
